The Philippines was Western Australia’s 15th largest merchandise export market in 2017-18. Western Australia accounted for 47 per cent of Australia’s merchandise exports to the Philippines.

The Philippines accounted for 7 per cent of Western Australia’s short-term international visitors in 2017 and has had an annual average growth of 18 per cent over the past 10 years.

Mineral and petroleum commodities accounted for 44 per cent of Western Australia’s merchandise exports to the Philippines in 2017-18.

The Philippines was also a market for the state’s agricultural products. It was Western Australia’s 2nd largest market for wheat and malt and rolled/flaked cereal grains in 2017-18.

The Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation supports Western Australia’s trade to Philippines through its Office in Singapore.
