The State Government, through Tourism WA, has signed a two-year deal to sponsor the Act-Belong-Commit Augusta Adventure Fest.
Recognised as the world's biggest adventure race, the popular event regularly attracts more than 3,500 participants to Augusta and the surrounding South-West region.
This year's event, to be held on November 4-5, includes coastal and trail running, mountain-biking, kayaking and ocean swimming.
It is expected to bring about 10,000 intrastate, interstate and international visitors to the region.
Competitors can participate in one of three races - the 56 kilometre Adventure Race, the Augusta Mini short course or the Augusta Junior Survivor for children.
The Augusta Adventure Fest is supported by the State Government through Tourism WA's Regional Events Program.
Tourism Minister Paul Papalia said events such as the Augusta Adventure Fest delivered significant benefits to the WA economy, increasing tourism spending and creating jobs.
