  • McGowan Government looking to find a new state-of-the-art home for Scitech
  • Expressions of interest sought from the private sector for options within the Perth city centre
  • Business continues as usual for Scitech at its current location

Expressions of interest from the private sector are being sought to find a new state-of-the-art home for Scitech, so the much-loved organisation can continue to inspire Western Australians to participate in STEM into the future.

The State Government is committed to working in partnership with Scitech on its relocation.

A range of options will be considered, including proposals that seek to build on government-owned land, developer-led construction and leasing, commercial leasing, or refurbishment of an existing government-owned facility.

The expressions of interest phase will be followed by a period of evaluation and the development of a business case for consideration by the Government.

Scitech will continue to deliver its innovative and creative programs to the public from its current location in West Perth until the end of its lease in mid-2023.
