  • State Government continues to implement WA's Future Battery Industry Strategy
  • A Funding Assistance Register has been developed to identify potential funding sources to assist future battery industry proponents

The McGowan Government has announced a new online register to help future battery industry proponents to access State or Commonwealth funding.

Proponents include mining and processing companies, manufacturers, research groups, renewable energy companies, and small to medium enterprises that are involved in the battery value chain.

The register is part of the Future Battery Industry Strategy's vision to create a world-leading, sustainable, value-adding future battery industry in Western Australia by 2025.

Developed by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation, the Funding Assistance Register will aid current and potential future battery industry proponents to identify State or Commonwealth Government funding programs and assistance for their projects.

The register demonstrates continuing efforts by the State Government to implement the Future Battery Industry Strategy to achieve economic growth, diversification and job creation in Western Australia's local future battery industry.
