• First ever Spartan Asia Pacific Championships start in 100 days
• About 2,000 visitors expected to come to WA for the event
• Will generate $1.46 million in visitor spend

Some of the fittest people on the planet will touchdown in Perth in 100 days to take part in the inaugural Spartan Asia Pacific Championships.

Supported by the State Government, through Tourism WA, the event is described as the toughest and most competitive obstacle course race series in the world.

Organisers anticipate up to 4,000 people will take part, with about 2,000 participants, friends and family to visit Western Australia specifically for the event.

The series has attracted participants from some of WA's key international visitor markets including Singapore, Malaysia, Japan and the United States.

The Spartan Asia Pacific Championships, which will be held in the city and in Bolinda Vale, Keysbrook from November 23-26, 2017, will generate $1.46 million in visitor spend.
