Albany’s new visitor centre opens to help drive visitation

The State Government has congratulated the City of Albany on the official opening of the Albany Tourism and Information Hub.

The visitor centre is one of the most advanced in the State with touch screen technology, digital windows and virtual reality headsets.

The $2.6 million project received funding from the State Government through Tourism WA's Regional Visitor Centre Sustainability Grants Program. The project was also co-funded by the Australian Government through the Tourism Demand Driver Infrastructure program administered by Tourism WA.

The Albany Tourism and Information Hub is located in the centre of town on York Street and provides visitors with information about Albany and the surrounding region as well as offering a booking service.
